So i been working over this 2 pedal thing like crazy and it's a love affair somewhat, i pull the 8th a half step and the 4th a full step on LKL...The only set-back is not having the full Chord say [C major chord at fret 11] or 2nd shape as some may call it. I can snag strings 3/4/ and 7 and lower the E's and have the Chord there, but sweeping it will always be a 6th chord lowering the E's with string group 345.
I still have my regular string groupings and shape's on 5/6/8

What do you think of this un usual change?

Thanks jack, I'm not doing a half stop on the 4th, just a straight pull all the way a full tone.

That would NEVER work for me. I use the half step raise on 4 & 8 a lot. And I use them in some very fast licks where I can't take the time to make sure the half stop is correct. If I only played slow ballads, then maybe.

The only variation at the moment Richard that i have, is that the fast run down chordal moves would be a 6th chord at that one location ala 13th fret key of C or pedals down E's raised at fret 11 would be an Em vs C major as a passing chord. This where i have to decide if it's Cool or not so 'Cool'and i'm kind of on edge of Love and hate.. Smile

I have to admit defeat, I went back to the C pedal because i missed the 4th string 1/2 raise too much.
