St Louis was great! My fiance lives in STL, so fortunately, I didn't have to eat hotel food! It was my first time at ISGC, but it won't be the last!

We saw most of the "big names" in PSG, and the incredible Don Helms proved without doubt that you don't need pedals to sound awesome!

One of my reasons to come to the ISGC was to talk to manufacturers about a new guitar. I had already had several phone conversations with one of the builders, but after meeting him in person, I distinctly sensed that he was less than enthusiastic about building a steel for a "beginner", which I most certainly am!

Then I walked into the Fulawka room, and the difference was like night and day! I started by explaining to Ed Fulawka that I was a "newbie", expecting to receive the same treatment I had received from the other builder. To my delight, this did nothing to alter his willingness to help me select a new guitar! He was curteous, friendly, very helpful, and sincerely interested in helping me select a new guitar, despite some unusual changes needed to compensate for a slight disability.

His reward for being a true joy to work with? He left St Louis with an order for a blond-on brown lacquer finish S10 with 3 floors and 5 knees!

Another Work of Art from Ed on this Link Here!! www.mightyfinemusic.com/fulawka/fulawka.htm

....no truer words spoken about Ed my friend.
I'm so glad you talked with "The Man" that has as much Passion for building instruments as Lloyd Green has for playing Music.
Ed has been building instruments for over 50 years.....and has as much enthusiasm now as he did when he first started.
I am So proud of this "Blue Darlin" he built for me.....I'm selling my ShoBud....any takers???
I have met Heaven with this Fulawka...and you will too.
Congradulations.
Ricky

Ed and Irene Fulawka are a class act all the way!

I don't even own one of their gutars and they treat me like family.

You couldn't ask for a better builder or craftsman to deal with.

Thanks to everyone who sent congratulations on the upcoming "new arrival"! I hope I can keep my anticipation under control until it gets here!

I haven't stopped babbling about it yet (just ask my fiance!)

For those of you who aren't familiar with Fulawka, each guitar includes an Anvil case (not a flimsy plywood case), a cord set, a leg/rod bag, a pick/bar pouch, and a cover. I've been told the cases themselves are worth around $500!

There is absolutely no slack or rattle in the pedal rods. Ed told me if I wanted rattles, to go to Toys R Us! When your foot touches the pedals, the strings start moving! The undercarriage looks like a machinist's masterpiece.

The lacquer finish on the body and neck of these guitars is of the highest quality. The birdseye maple is gorgeous.

I'll be sure to post pictures when it comes (probably after the first of the year). What a Christmas present!

I must say Gregg and I met Eddie & Irene for the first time after all these years Sunday night. They both treated us with the utmost respect, not even knowing us either. Thanks for sharing your life story with us Eddie.
Anyone buying a Fulawka will be pleased,I'm sure! And thanks again for the spices and recipes! Theresa

Kenny my Fulawka plays and sounds as good as anything I've ever played.....
I'm still playing Music almost every night...mainly with Redd Volkaert and Redd says he loves this Guitar even better than my ShoBud....and that says alot to me.
Also being a new guitar....this baby is playing even better now than when I got it and everything is working together now so perfectly and Ed Fulawka is right about the drop on his guitar. Initially there is a small drop on the E note(just 3 to 4 cents) and he said it will eventually go away; and it almost has....it's down to 2 cent which NOBODY can hear that anyway....ha...
I'm also going to be doing several weekends with the Derailers(San diego on 29th)(Nashville on Oct.6th)and the rest are Texas dates; so check their schedule www.derailers.com and I'll be out with them on last weekend of this month and first weekend of October...and then I'll do a week with Heather Myles again on her way back through Texas on that second week of October......so come on out...and hear the "Blue Darlin" for yourself...yeeee haaa.
