If I wire a double 1/4 jack plate for my 400 what would a simple schematic look like? I would like to have option to add an extension speaker and wire my on board BW with a1/4 jack. _________________ 2010 Rains 3x5 SD10, 2006 Rains 3x5 SD10 Powered by Quilter Tone Block 202 and 15' and 12' Custom Speaker cabs |

Two speakers in parallel will bring the impedence down too low for the NV400. If you want to use two speakers you need two 8 ohm speakers (in parallel) and that will equal 4 ohms.
The other option is to either use the NV400's 1501-4 BW speaker OR an external speaker(s). |

Jack what would the results be using an 8ohm Sica with the BW?
I guess I could mic the 400 and use the amp as the monitor. Local sound guys= ![Rolling Eyes](images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) _________________ 2010 Rains 3x5 SD10, 2006 Rains 3x5 SD10 Powered by Quilter Tone Block 202 and 15' and 12' Custom Speaker cabs |

2.66 ohms laod total with the built in 4 phm and an 8 ohm extenal cabinet. Too low and also a good way to burn out the output transistors of the amp. That is why there is no external jack on the N-400 amp. If you change the internal speaker to 8 ohms then you can add an 8 ohm extension.
Were it me, I would get an extension cab and put a small power amp in the bottom of it. Then drive it with the preamp output of the N-400 amp. |

A single 8 ohm speaker will work, but the amp won't have full power. a pair of 8 ohms would be ideal, or mic the amp _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |
