Can someone please help? I have an Emmons Lashley Le Grande ~'92. When I tune E9 pedals down the open strongs (1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 9th) are all "8 cent" sharp. This seems extreme (from what I am told). Is there anything I can do to tighten the cabinet or offset this variance? Or do i just live with it?
Note: I am note using Neumen tuning, just standard 440 tuning |

Are you sure they go sharp? Most of the time they go flat. If you have the compensators set wrong you could be pulling them sharpe. I would check that. 8 cents is a little extreme either way so something is going on.its usually about 2 cents so I would check compensators if you have them and back them off.

If it is fitted with the 'Counter Force'
unit (a/ka 'crowbar'), it may be
way overclocked.

Right on there Russ, couldn't think of what you called it. I know you can over do them and they will make strings go sharp. Had a senior moment on that counter force and was to

I suppose that it means that 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 9th are sharp after tuning 3rd, 5th, 6th and 10th with pedals down. Have you tried tuning pedals up and splitting the difference? I always a compromise.
