I have LOTS of new stuff, and will be having folks over to play with it...first group is at 7pm on Sunday, July 22, but people are welcome to drop by anytime (contact first, please, for either the 22nd or to arrange another time) if you'd like to give it a whirl...

....The New Milkman Pedal Steel Amplifier (this thing is amazing!)
-also-
The New Milkman Guitar Amplifier
(once I heard the steel amp, I just had to go all the way....my Matchless amps are history)

Also have a GK MB-200/Black Box/Huff cab/SICA 15"....

plus my brand new Williams 700 - even smoother than the old 700's

and of course, all the cool Telonics stuff (pickup, volume pedal)

and I just put some new Roadhouse PDX P-90's in a guitar, he is a local pickup guy with a patented new winding method that dramatically extends the harmonic range of the pickups....wait till you hear them....he does all the standard pickup types, his tele pickups are really nice...

...plus all the other stuff in my signature below....

I'm really hoping that I'm actually done acquiring new stuff for at least a while!
Come on by....
Steve

Just played some gigs with the Milkman....I'm sure impressed....sold pretty much everything else to buy them, but I don't mind at all....after using them, I just can't see myself using any of the other stuff...

Steve, those samples sure do sound nice. I've been using a Fender tube in stereo with a Laney SS to get similar balance between grit and clarity. The components look to be top notch. I'm just starting my pedal steel journey,so I'm not too concerned with gear right now, but it's good to see another guy building stuff with the Steel in mind, instead of another 5E3 clone.
Have you been in a situation to really push the amp.

The amps start out really creamy - both the Guitar Amp and the Steel Amp....and then get more aggressive as you push them.....but mostly I only push the Steel Amp to get a lot of sustain, it has so much power in reserve that I can't turn it up and hit it hard, I turn it up and keep the note going a long time...the venues I play usually mic the amps, we keep stage volume reasonable...

the Guitar Amp gets ballsy at a much lower volume, of course, it is great for guitar or lap steel that way, no need for a pedal to get some overdrive sound...and it has enough clean volume for practice and small gigs on pedal steel...
