I am a long time guitar player who has ventured into learning new instruments over the past few years; banjo, mandolin, tenor guitar, bass and most recently dobro & lap steel which brings me here ... looking forward to learning from the SGF Braintrust ... being new to the instruments and starting to teach myself, I will be asking some typical newby questions ... thanks.

Thanks! I'll try anything with strings ... optimum word is "try". I am by no means proficient with them all but I enjoy the quest. Very Happy
