I reckon Johnny was just too lonesome without her. Sort of like Johnny and June Cash. RIP Miss Kitty. All the good ones are going who blazed the trail. As the song says, "Who's gonna fill their shoes"?  |

She passed at 92, complications from a stroke. Do you all realize how long she toured? From 1930 until 2000. 70 years!

I remember a couple of yeaers ago, on her and Johnny's wedding anniversay, they celebrated 72 years. You don't find many couples staying together thesse days. They definitely trusted love.

| When you heard Kitty Wells sing you got to hear real country music. Another legend leaves us and looks like no one will fill her shoes. I would bet she was sadden by the country music we have today. |

So sad to learn of Miss. Kitty's passing but on the other hand there are some out there that can fill her shoes & be respecting her as well & they are alive & well in TX & most of them record at Heart Of Texas studios.

I grew up singing and listening to Kitty Wells. She was my favorite singer for many, many years. I still know almost every song she sang.
Gathering "Flowers for The Master's Bouquet" was one of my favorites another was "Searching". I use to sing that for Roy all the time.
I never got to meet her but I will someday.
May God comfort her family and friends.

Kitty Wells: I remember my parents and grand parents listening to her on the radio and every now and then on TV (that was when there were only 2-3 channels and maybe once or twice a week a variety show that would have country singers. The legendary & True Queen of Country Music Ms Kitty Wells. She will be missed by lovers of true country.

| I would say .Kitty had to be a singing legend of all time.seen her shows 3 times here in Canada .and loved her every time.last one was when she was on her 80 birthday tour.WOW. whats left to say,prayers to her family . R,I,P, MS WELLS. |

According to a news item I read today, she cut her reply to "Honky Tonk Angels" the year before I was born. She certainly always got my attention with that voice. If she was on the radio when I was a boy... we turned it up.

| So sad to read of this in Bobby`s newsletter today what another great loss to all of us.... R.I.P Kitty My favourite was called "Fickle Fun" and she sang it beautifully, its one of the things I try to play each time I sit at my steel...we will miss her |
