Putting on a show in Seattle July 20 at The Columbia City Theater featuring 3 (4 if you count me) of the top steel players around these parts. Dan Tyack, Orville Johnson, Bob Knetzger and yours truly will be playing all things slidy. Some dobro, non-pedal and pedal steel in varying styles from old time country, western swing, straight up honky tonk country and some rock and blues.
Trying to make this show customer friendly and have some great singers as guests, Lucky Lawrence, Kim Field and Lisa Theo, and Kato Moody. My band Country Dave and the Pickin' Crew will be backing up the show.
Hoping to line up someone to shoot some video and should have some clips.

Ha--seems I'm the only clean-shaven picker on the bill.
That, and the "floating heads" motif, suggests I should perhaps play Remington Ride. |
