Charlie Archer is Loretta's steel player. He plays Emmons and GFI steels. At one time, he was Conway Twitty's lead guitarist

Old history. Nothing to do with today. My band opened for Loretta at Ponderosa Park in Northern Ohio. I walked into the backstage lounge, and there was John. We sat and talked for quite a while. Then it was time for me to get ready to play. I unpacked, and set up my Kline Uni. John had never seen one. He had a Kline about a month later. One of the nicest people I've ever met!

Jim Charlie is a pretty good guy..I got to meet him in Springfield Mass.when I brought him a guitar (Ovation)to bring to Nashville for Richard Bass...Spent some time under the Arena on Conways bus then he got me to the back stage spot to watch the package show which include the "Hag"..He was playing Lead Guitar for Conway at that time..
