I recently made a breif video on youtube w/ a goldtone 8 string lapsteel w/ a lollar pickup I Installed, new to the video world, I could not send the link however if you type in gold tone 8 string lapsteel it will pull up, Shocked

Sounds good, Chris. Lots of sustain in that long scale Gold Tone! And the Lollar "Chicago" pickup has a nice vintage tone. It really enhances the sound of the guitar. Cool

Sounds real good, Chris. That Lollar really sings.

On a side note -- on your reso video of "In The Sweet By and By", what kind of reso are you playing? Is it a Gold Tone as well?

Chris, thanks for posting this. I also have one of these Goldtone 8 string Steel Guitars and I agree,that although quite well constructed, the pickup is a little weak. I really like the sound that this Lollar 8 string Chicago pickup delivers for you. I may have to look a little further into this option. This forum is just incredible for the information and knowledge that is so freely exchanged. My appreciation to all.
