for those with concerns of the condition of classic & traditional country music played with a live 7 piece stage band, fear not for it does exist and is housed in the climate controlled soft seat comfort of the oaklawn opry in texarkana, u.s.a., texas.
henry matthews, the host, on pedal steel has done his part at keeping country music alive in the ark-la-tex, drawing guest singers from all directions that entertained a near capacity crowd, some from shreveport, little rock and dallas and sll sorts of in betweens. a fast moving show and no dead air as the announcer jay-bob kept 'em rollin', rollin', rollin'...........these folks love live country music!
forumite chuck cusimano, is on the bill for next saturday nite! i'll be back!
a must stop on anybody's travel plan on I-30 thru texas.......
