Andy Gibson (Hank iii steel player)

Last night i went to watch Hank 3 in town (Manchester U.K.). It's taken a couple of years to get the chance to see him and of course Andy Gibson on his Fender Double 8. The things and sounds that guy can produce with that steel guitar!

I was hoping to get to meet him, but didnt get chance at the gig.

Does anyone know what tunings he uses?

I really have an erge for getting that speedy west stuff down know like the bar chatter etc.

Can't find much info on google about him thought.... any info??

By far your best bet is to contact forumite Chris Scruggs and pick his brain for West-style pointers.

Andy might be a member as well.

Andy credits Kayton Roberts with teaching him everything he knows about playing steel guitar and I can't think of a better player to dig in to for that awesome showy kind of playing.
