Isn't there a faster method to get all this good personal info into the hands of the multitudes of scammers out there?
Or worse, Ron Stinkwick??

Steve, Al, It is up to you to accept or reject people who want to hook up to you. I have had Skype for 12 years and never had an unwanted person hook up to me.
A good rule of thumb is to accept only the ones which apply by real name with a bit of info. It is easy to weed out the phony names. Skype is the big name in telephone as well as video chat.

Hey bent , I have only used Skype a few times and was very happy with it. I would just perfer to not make my info so readily available where Crooks eyes are lurking . It's fairly
Common among the Internet so I'm told ( the lurking eyes ) but why make it easy . Skype is pretty Awesome! and I would like to get into some lesson swapping sometime with it..

Larry,
It might be better to repost, and ask the forum members, (who use Skype) to respond without providing their Skype screen name.
Then any of them can contact anyone else, through the forum email, or PM, to ask if they'd like to set up a Skype session or a group get together.
Just a thought, in order to know who uses Skype, in order to have the list of names, for individual contacts. That way, their screen names are not exposed, including your own.
I have Skype, I seldom use it, but it is a pretty neat thing.

IM before you try calling, because sometimes it's logged in when I am asleep. Nothing like waking up to a Missed Call.
I think it would make sense to have Skype names linked to the profiles like yahoo and AIM
are.
