Orchestrating and hosting an event may not seem as easy as one would think. Lots going on before the doors open. Bottom line with Sid, he provided an intimate atmosphere full of camaraderie and steel playing that was in ample abundance. I hope Sid will continue to host steel events as there aren't too many in my neck of the woods.

Hi Gary
It was great to see you yesterday. I wish you could have hung around longer to join in the fun. I agree, Sid put together a first class jam and made everyone feel welcome. It was great to see several old friends and meet many new ones. I look forward to the next Jam.

Hey Gary and guys, well it's about time..I know there has got to be at more than a few pedal steel players in the area and this is very cool to me, I would have come if I was still in the area, did you guys to the round-robin with BIAB playing or did you have a band with steel players taking turns on songs?
Gary, I picked up an Emmons LeGrandeII recently, I'll never forget the lessons I got from Buddy Charleton down in Oxen Hill, that was my first experience on the LeGrande and it was so much fun, still have my Zumsteel..Anyway hope you guys do it more often.

Billy,
Each player performed a small set consisting of four ditties backed up by tracks. After this segment completed, a live band situation took place. I had other obligations and couldn't stay for the entire event. But from what i could tell from posted PICs on another thread, there was a jam of sorts with a live band.

My thanks to Sid and family for a great time. Excellent location, fine selection of players, and very well organized. (After hearing Sid light up the C6 neck, it definitely rekindled my enthusiasm for the often neglected half of my guitar).
P.S. Try a set of his strings, you won't regret it. |

| Sure had a good time, especially those guys who sang the old country songs, you let them off to easy, shoud have sang 3 or 4 songs each. The anouncer was good, really knew his music history. Hope you can do another jam soon. You should be getting a couple items from me soon. |

Dave, we are glad you could come and it was great to meet you as well.
Thank you for the compliments but, don't say it too loud.
There are still a lot of guys in the Richmond crowd that don't think it's possible to play steel guitar with a straight pick and two finger picks. LOL!!!!!!!!!!
