Many of you have had the opportunity to see and hear Billy Phelps, either at St.Louis ISGC, or at the Dallas SGC. Billy was heard by many as he fronted the Carter room. He is an amazing player, with seemingly endless talent. He is equally good on guitar, bass, and vocals. I might also give a plug for his tracks available on his website, Full Circle Sound.

Billy has played with Ray Price, but chose not to play the demanding road schedule Ray requires. I've come to know Billy through our Southeast Texas Steel Guitar Club. And he has assummed the leadership with the passing of Jody Sanders. His bio would include a lot more I'm sure. A nice guy.

Jim you are correct Billy is an awesome player, on my visits to the Dallas shows I always spent a lot of time watching and listening to Billy.I have been pestering the guys who book the Irish Festival to get Billy over, in my view he would be an ideal performer at this show both instrumentally and vocally.Always found him a pleasure to talk to.His instruction and backing tracks are excellent.

Billy Phelps ia a master musician; he does it all. I've always said that he could pick up a stick and play it.
So Jim; I second that motion. A big hand for Billy Phelps............

It was a great treat for me, and also for my bandmates in The Earl Sanders, Jr. Band, to have Billy sit in on my steel last Friday evening for a rousing set at the Red River BBQ in Katy. We had a packed house of enthusiastic country music fans in attendance, and Billy brought out some masterful and very cool licks from my D10 Emmons.

It was a grand time in a neat, family-oriented but small venue where everyone is there to hear the music and enjoy the bbq. It is normally a fun gig, but having Billy Phelps sit in made it a very special night for us.

Thanks Billy!!

I am a Billy Phelps fan. A lot of players get more fanfare but I don't think there are many if any that can outplay him. He is a very nice unassuming guy.
