My wife has an S-10 Expo. No problems tuning it. I use a slightly modified Jeff Newman tuning on it.

I can't post my chart on the forum as its not formatted correctly for the forum, but send me an email and I'll send you the tuning chart I'm using.

I've used George L's "Nashville Gauges" and GHS SS strings with the same gauges.

I use the programmed E9psg setting on my Peterson Strobo Stomp. I'm careful not to be too critical i.e.; if it reads a little flat that's good enough, after a little playing things warm up and come closer to exact pitch. I even have to reduce tension on F# & G# at times. A little bit flat works well for me as I can always depend on the weight of the bar or my altered bar placement to bring it in closer. A little added downward pressure on the bar is also an option. I own two GFI's, a D-10 Ultra and an S-10 Expo, they are real work horses!

Nice Axe Norbert! Just keep in mind that statistics show that folks get pulled over more often with a red pedal steel. Whoa!

Daniel thanks. It works for my wife's GFI Expo S-10.

BTW, where are you in Pa? I'm from Mechanicsburg.
