I think one of the best things about this forum is the interaction between Forumites. I placed an ad in the wanted to buy section a couple of week ago that was responded to by several members. Chris Lucker had what I needed and proceeded to ship the items to me for no charge. With the phone call I made to Chris we talked at length about steel and other topics and not only was he very generous he was also very knowledgable and engaging. I find this often when dealing with members but Chris went out of his way to help and deserves credit and my thanks again.

Ditto! Chris has helped me out as well with P/P parts. And he has extensive knowledge of Emmons and Bigsby history. |

I also agree with you...I wanted an item and he shipped it to me free of charge. A very nice gentleman indeed. Thats what makes the steel guitar community special...different than other bonds that bring people together...almost like a family. |

He shipped me some legs I needed for a old Fender/Bigsby
Plus, he knows more about the real old stuff than anyone but,
is more than willing to share his knowledge and help anyone out
A class act and a prince of a guy!

I gotta jump in, too, and say what a great help Chris has been to me over the years. He used to stop in at a guitar shop where I was working and we would talk steels, even though I knew nothing compared to him (and still don't). He was always very patient and generous and that has continued to this day.
Redd has it right- Chris is a class act! |

he's been friendly and generous to me also. he seems to be an intelligent and refined gentleman. perhaps a 'chris lucker day' on the forum, where we all try to emulate his style would be appropriate.
he's also got a cool name! |

Thank you very much for the kind words, gentlemen.
Redd -- where the heck did you come from? That is a rare post.

The steel is doing great, thank you!
I'm having allot of trouble with the player though.
He won't listen and can't remember anything,
ya think you can help me with that too?

Redd, it is a lot easier to play if you stop trying to grab the keyheads and bend the cabinet.

yeap, its good to have folks like Chris in the steel community.
he's always been more than helpful even with the greenest of us.
he's alot like Mike Cass, you can ask them a question and they will give you THE FACTS. _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |
