I am wondering if anyone has installed a TELONICS PICKUP on a GFI ULTRA? What Type pickup (type 84 , type 206…)did you install ?, and what was the resulting sound?

I almost did....but switched to Williams guitars instead...but my GFI responded to pickup changes well, I tried a Trutone and it sounded, much better than the stock pickup, and much like other guitars with Trutones...so I expect that a Telonics would also sound like other guitars with Telonics....I use only Telonics 84 in my Williams guitars, it is amazing.

You will have to file down the sides of any pickup to get them to fit in the slightly-too-narrow pickup cavity, but that isn't a big deal.
