Sale 1974 MSA classic with rosewood mica S/N 2C3545, E9th neck is tuned to Emmons copedant. C6th neck looks to be Bobby Black's copedant. Pedal steel was in playable condition when purchased. But cross shafts, bell cranks, and changers all needed cleaning and rust & corrosion removal.
Well being a friend of Tom Bradshaw I asked for advice on restoring the MSA. Conclusion! I tore it down to the nuts and bolts. I bead blasted all bell cranks and cleaned all rust and corrosion where needed. I polished all aluminum parts so I could see my reflection. When finished, the MSA looked and played great and no parts needed replacing. Bradshaw's the greatest for kindly advising me on this project. The MSA has 5 knee levers and 8 pedals a Goodrich volume control, two bell cranks and a case also come with the deal.
Price $1750.00 + $80.00 shipping and insurance. And let's keep it in the good old USA. Please no trades or deals, cash or cashiers check or postal money order only.TKS.

I'm learning to play Buddy Emmons Blue Jade. This MSA is so light on the controls and it makes me sound like Buddy is playing the tune. I must admit I'm a long way from it. Lets Bump for trying.

I forgot one thing. The bell crank for the vertical knee lever is now made of steel. the aluminum one stripped out the threads. The steel threads are much stronger to take the rotational force.

I would like to see the 1974 MSA classic have a new home. So I'm going to lower the price for the last time to $1500.00 + $80.00 for S&I. I hope this helps the ones that are trying to get funding lined up. TKS..

did you land this big fish Ross? Looks like Thom did swell detailed restoration job. I had my eye on this one but the timing just wasn't quite right...in the process of moving etc. I will be expecting to watch you play it out soon as I am from sacto. and have seen you play the ol' Rustler. Cheers to you both!
