This is either a 1956 or 1957 all original Fender, 24.5 inch scale length. It's in good condition except for a little chipping on the paint and a cigarette burn by the tuning machines. Sounds excellent. I'm asking $1700, no trades. Please contact me through email.

I've posted a few pictures, or you can see a lot more over here: http://s1256.photobucket.com/albums/ii492/bpaganie/

For whatever help this may be, my 22-1/2" D-8 is dated 1-57 and has pushbuttons instead of a blade switch. (Serial number 028xx, I think--I'm away from it as I write this.)

It's possible the guitar is earlier, but that case dates from 1959-61.

I was going to suggest the guitar is from 1959-60 or so if the case is original. Nice deuce. The money seems in the ballpark, except if I wanted it, I'd wish it was cheaper! Someone'll take it.

My 24.5" D8 (#019xx)is supposed to be a '59, looks exactly like this one, but has a tweed case rather than Tolex.

Myfavorite SM. best scale length, best vintage ( 59 to 62), IMO. A really nice D-8
