The next Austin Steel Guitar Co-op jam will take place on Sunday, June 17 (3rd Sunday) from 2-5 p.m. at the 290 West Bar & Grill, 12013 W Highway 290, Austin, TX.

This month's featured artist will be Marty Muse. Marty is an Austin-based steel guitarist with a wide range of experience in the music industry. His pedal steel, lap steel, and Dobro playing can be found on the recordings of many of the top artists from Austin in the past 20 years. For the past 10 years he has been touring and recording with famed singer/songwriter Robert Earl Keen. Read more about Marty at www.martymuse.com.

Marty will play a 45-minute set, followed by a round robin by all steelers with the back-up band. Bring instruments, equipment and gear to trade, show or sell. Come play, listen or just hang out. Burgers on the grill outside, cool drinks inside -- what better way to spend a laid-back Father's Day? Cool

I recognize Marty, but who is that guy shaking hands with him?

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

You'll want to come hear Marty's set and then ask him about the documentary film he's been working on for years about the steel guitar!!!
