This Saturday and Sunday afternoons, June 2nd and 3rd, the Stardust Cowboys will be giving free concerts in Livermore, CA.
On Saturday we will play as a four piece, from 2:30 til 4 pm at Flag Pole Plaza on First Street in downtown Livermore. This is part of the Chili Shooters Stampede, whatever that is!? I will be the only lead instrument, so you'll hear lots of PSG.
On Sunday we play as a six piece group from 2:00 to 3:30 at the downtown Livermore Public Library, 1188 S. Livermore Ave. This is apparently in the Civic Center. We will be playing indoors for this event. This is part of their "Friends Authors & Arts" series. For this concert we will be adding a Western Swing Hall of Fame fiddler/mandolin player, and a great jazz guitarist. It's a real pleasure working with these guys.
The music is western swing and cowboy; not country and western. Far from the current commercial country scene. |
