I am taking Skype lessons w/ John Ely currently. It works very well for me. If you have a decent internet connection It's the best thing you can do for your playing, John really knows his stuff and he's a really nice guy. It was the jumpstart I needed, i can't recommend it strongly enough.
Cheers,

I am too, and its the best thing I've done lately. A real pro who devotes a lot of time away from the lesson customizing material and arrangements designed specifically for your needs.
I highly recommend him to you. Skype works perfectly here with a cable connection. |

I also take lessons from John.. starting as a rank beginner (ok.. I am still a beginner, but not as rank)
John does a great job, tabs out his lessons, has a plan, and is VERY good at watching your technique (picking, blocking, vibrato, etc.)
Highly recommended. |

I have been taking lessons from John also. I think he is great, very patient with those of us who are still learning. I highly reccomend him.
