San Antonio Steel Guitar Association will have another jam session June 3, 2012 at the Converse American Legion Hall, 326 Legion Dr. W. Converse, Texas. Hours will be from 2pm until 5pm. All players are asked to be set up and tuned and ready to play at 2 pm. All players are encouraged to come out no matter what their playing level.
Roger Edgington is going to hold a 45 minute instruction for the new players and of course anyone who wants to set in. We want to Thank Roger in advance for his work at helping others in their pursuit of playing the steel guitar.
The American Legion will be selling food and your favorite beverages from their canteen. We want to say a big "Thank You" to them for all their assistance.
We will have a "4 Sale or Trade" table for those wanting to sell guitar equipment, cds, amps, recording equipment etc. Please, nothing that smells, eats, grows or illegal. Hope to see you June 3, 2012 from 2pm until 5pm...jr

Thanks Joe, planning on being there. Also thanks to Roger for the training, it will be a big help. Some of you were there, but Rodger did a wonderful job at the San Marcos Western Swing show last Saturday. Not only did he work his usual gig with Billy Mata, but the Texas Tradition also backed up Carol Martin who is quite a performer and swing artist. They threw a few curves in there musically but Rodger did not miss a turn. Wonderful job Rodger, thanks again for your willingness to teach. It will be good.

I was able to visit with the manager of the Converse American Legion Terry Smith, and he is changing the menu this next jam session. Pulled pork sandwiches and bratwurst hotdogs will be the menu. We do appreciate the Converse American Legion treating us so well and providing meals at an affordable price of 5.00. The canteen will be open to sell your favorite beverage. Free popcorn is available...jr

Take a long nap cause you may have some unruly students at your teaching segment. You will need all the rest you can get for that....jr
