Interesting technique used by Patti Maxine during her second solo at around 6:05. She also solos at around 3:45.

Hi,

Using your pinky as a sort of muted bar--in small doses--can be fun. The slants are pretty easy, as the dampened sound makes intonation less critical.

Also, a "ripped" strum while barring straight across with the pinky works well on old 1950s'-60s pop tunes with a "calypso" rhythm (for lack of a better term), usually a I-vi-IV-V7 change.
