This type of communication is becoming bigger all of the time. Video chat rooms, video phones, face time etc etc.
Several here on the forum are giving lessons via programs like Skype.
It might be nice to have a new forum index dedicated to this area so that one would not have to search other indexes looking for lessons or information etc etc. B0b just a thought.
I am on Skype and would be happy to share info and or licks or just chat about steel. Call me on Skype at: lcbehm
OOVOO is another site and I am sure there are more on the way.

I'm currently in Japan, and I've been communicating with my wife via Skype. I bought two inexpensive Logitech USB cameras that do 720p (HD?) and I'm amazed at the quality. Works great... I can see how this would be awesome for one on one steel lessons (or even group). _________________ Lost Pines Studio

I signed up a couple days ago to chat with a client in California and it works amazingly well. Very easy set-up with my MacBook Pro, which has a mike and a camera. _________________ C#

Use Skype on PCs, laptops and mobiles ... have for years. Most efficient and cost-effective way to contact folks back home in Norway when I'm in the US, and for instance use "share screen" when my wife have problems using her computer-software
Created ooVoo account just now, to check how well it works. |

I have taken some PSG lessons on Skype and have learned a lot in the process. I think it is great, when you get set up and have a high speed connection. It was a bit of a challenge since I play my Steel in Garage Band and had some feedback issues, but bottom line for us with no instruction available, it is the best way to go. _________________ Die with Memories. Skype is a great tool.
I’ve been using it for about two years now.
