Had the pleasure of chatting with Aaron and the band after a show in Brisbane Australia. Super nice guy - great player. Aaron is touring with Dallas Green - City and Colour. So great to see the steel used so well outside the country context. I love my country but the love the steel more and Dallas is a true poet/musician/artist who appreciates what the steel can bring to a performance. A great memory locked in!! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Very kind of you Jeff. It was great to meet you and Rhiannon. What can I say, I'm not the most traditional player but no matter where you are on the bandstand and what style you're playing, you've just gotta use your ears. That's how I try to operate, and it may be the reason that I'm able to work.
Sorry I wasn't able to be at the steel jam today! Hope it went well. _________________ Updates from the road on Twitter

Oh I'm certain I'll be back in Edmonton before too long Bob. We just did a couple nights at the Northern Jubilee in late January. Closest we'll be back this summer is the festival in Squamish, BC on Aug 26, which I know isn't really that close to you. I'll report back when there are more Canadian dates, _________________ Updates from the road on Twitter

Squamish is close to me right now - I split my time between Edmonton and Gabriola Island, BC. Squamish looks awkward timing-wise though. Too bad you're not doing the Edmonton Folk Festival - I have the great good fortune to be performing there with Andrea House this year. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on your schedule. |

I wish we were on Edmonton Folk this year Bob. I've heard it's a great fest but never done it. I've done Calgary Folk twice. We're on Ottawa Bluesfest this year and Festival D'Ete in Quebec City. Enjoy your gig, I'm sure it'll be great. _________________ Updates from the road on Twitter

My wife and I were lucky enough to see City and Colour at their Adelaide show last night and to meet AG. Great show and excellent tasteful playing by Aaron, who is indeed a class act. |

Aaron used my steel at a City and Colour show here in St. John's back in February when their gear didn't make it in on the plane. Great guy, and he returned the steel impeccably in tune! ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Jackson Steel Guitars
