Lucky Oceans, founding member/steeler for Asleep at the Wheel will be sitting in with my Texas swing band, Beats Walkin', on Thursday eve, May 10, at McShea's Tavern in Narberth, PA, starting around 9:30pm. No Cover!
If you're even anywhere close, don't miss this opportunity to catch the Man, the Legend, the Wild and Wooly, the One and Onliest, Lucky Oceans -- Direct from Australia!
Come early for good seating as the joint is on the small side. Good food if you wanna come for dinner first and then keep your table.
Address, directions, etc. at: www.mcsheas.com
We're gonna have a large time! _________________ www.JimCohen.com

We had a great crowd last night and it was real treat to have Lucky with us. Thanks to the many Forumites who trekked out to Narberth to be there with us on this unique occasion. Here are a few shots courtesy of Bo Borland and Dave Van Allen (whom we recently discovered, sat at adjacent tables all night without realizing it!)

Chris you did miss it.. The band sounded great! They have a great selection of tunes and three lead vocals plus 4 part harmonies. Jim, Lucky, and Michael shared the solo work.
As usual, Jim played great C6 and E9
I had never heard Lucky play live, my first live ASATW show was after he left the band, but he was amazing on the D-8 Rick.
I was sitting behind the grey haired guy in the last photo. |
