I've always liked the look of the chrome Emmons fretboards. So when I found out that Jim Palenscar makes custom engraved fretboards on an aluminum substrate, I had Jim make a custom 'board for my BMI SD-10. The original was basically a sticker, like alot of builders use, but was also a 12 string width. Something I couldn't get used to.
The lines and BMI style fretmarkers are laser engraved. I asked him to make it a custom width(more ideal for a 10 string) and 26 frets instead of 24. It was his idea to add the script, which really gives it a classy look! It came with 3 strips of 3M double sided tape on the back.
Just wanted to show it off and give Jim Palenscar @ Steel Guitars of North County in Oceanside CA a big Thank You! I couldn't be happier!!

Tres snazzy.
I assume custom lengths are possible? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks for the props Todd! It was a pleasure designing that for you. Besides having old Fender repros (22.5, 24.5, and 26" scales) I make custom fretboards for folks- any measurement or scale length- aluminum or plastic. |

I'd like to add that colors are not available- just black and polished aluminum or black and white in plastic. |
