Does anyone know what Paul Franklin's LKV is connected to. I know his website show he raises his 6th. But I have heard he also alternates and uses it to lower the 5th. I am curious as to which one he prefers.
About two years ago I changed from the 5th string lower to the 6 string raise a couple years ago. I found this made some interesting licks but I miss a lot of what the 5th string lower. It seems more useful to have it to lower the 5th.
Paul, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Not just on this lever but any of your setup ideas.
thanks in advance

Hey Ben!
Can't speak for Paul, but I love the G# to B change! Actually, I like using it with the pedals down the best. I don't have a split, but it lines up nicely on my Franklins with the string gauges I use. Never had the G#-E lower. Would love to try it. |

Ben, that's not true. He alternates for the G# to E change Kyle mentioned.
The change you have in mind is the 5th string 1/2 tone lower which Paul hasn't used in the last 25 years if ever.
He of course lowers 5,6,and 10 a whole step with his 4th pedal.
Maybe this will serve as a bump till Paul gets here.
