I think some of those Brian Wilson tunes really suit the steel as they are so melodic.

This made me realise that the two Joe Goldmark records I have in my collection are not enough. I'm looking forward to the release of the new one.

Great job, Joe. This is one Brian's tunes that reminds me of Burt Bacharach.
Trivia--the song was originally written as "Carol, I Know".

An excellent job, Joe - thank you!
But what a great song!!! The three finest tunesmiths of the '60s - and beyond - were Brian Wilson, Burt Bacharach and Jimmy Webb. The changes in this one are wonderful and it was with delight that I learned last week that a new Beach Boys (read BW) album is due this Summer.
That's what makes an effective steel guitar instrumental, surely? A lovely melody and intriguing chord-changes...
