Howdy folks, local steel guitar hero Mr. Mike Smith stopped by the shop today.
It seems Mike will be doing the 2012 Summer Tour with none other than "Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Band".
Back home again buddy, Very Happy Mike of course toured with the Gatlins for years.
Mike called me a few days ago and informed me he was in the market for a light weight FLY GUITAR.
What timing, I was just getting ready to rod up a beautiful black Pro Lite for my inventory stock.
Mike emailed me his pedal & knee lever set up which is WOW, and I begun to set up the guitar for him to try out.
Mike came today and played the little black beauty and was so happy with what he found in the Pro Lite, he whipped out his check book and took it home with him. Very Happy Very Happy Thank you Mike!!
Today is what I hope will be a long and prosperous relationship between Mike Smith and Justice Steel Guitars. Not only is Mike a good friend, he's now one of our family. Very Happy
Here's a few pictures of Mike taken here today, more to come.

Fred, you better ramp up for a lot of sales! Mike is tremendous player, and he'll make the Pro Lite sing like bird. I hope they will have a stop in the Atlanta area. I'll spring for dinner at The Varsity!!!

Hey Fred,

Thanks for taking the time this morning to hook me up with the Pro Lite, it is really going to fit the need perfectly! T says she hopes I do the guitar "justice" Smile

Roger,

Ironically, this whole thing started just a matter of weeks ago. I'd signed-on to do a trial run of a new show Larry was putting together, kind-of a semi-acoustic show, no Brothers and just a 3-piece band...Steve Smith (guitars), me on keys and steel and his normal drummer Rob Stetiler playing percussion. The first public show was in Marietta but I didn't post about it as I wanted to give the show a chance to grow before musicians showed up. It actually went very well even though it was also very long. Afterwards, one of Larry's friends brought us chili dogs w extra onions from The Varsity! I don't think there is a better dog a person can rent than those Very Happy I promise to post future dates soon.

Mike

Hi Fred,
This is really great news to have the great Mike Smith to be playing a Justice guitar. I know Mike wouln't be playing it if it wasn't built really good. Congratulations to both of you.

Iseen the show at Bearcreek Farm last Saturday and it was great. The band was great for only 3 guys! No drums, no bass and they sounded very good. Mike sounded very good when Larry sang "Bitter they Are".

Mike

Would you share your current E9 set-up? If this guitar is '3&5' I'm interested what you've chosen.

Man that black Pro Lite looks exactly like the one in my living room that I bought at the TSGA show a couple months back. If it is the tone monster that mine is (and that is pretty much a given) this guitar will become the standard by which all other steels are judged! Fred, I love the fact that your work is gaining the recognition it deserves, hope that the volume doesn't become so overwhelming that you can't give every member of the Justice "family" the personal attention you provided me when I bought mine.
