Especially good if your coffee doesn't have any liquid in it! Looks like a great plant stand... what does it sound like? _________________ Stop by the Steel Store at: www.markvanallen.com

That Mercury transformer shows that Del Ray was attempting to build a toneful amp. A boutique version of the old Zenith. I'd love to hear it. |

Loni Specter over at www.lapdancerguitars.com was considering building something like this several years back. Don't know whatever became of the project. |

The above amp was designed and built by Kevin Silva, owner of Uncle Albert's Amplifiers in Indianapolis. Silva does virtually all the amp repairs and restorations for central Indiana. He is simply the best.
From time to time he builds his own amps. This design was, or so I heard through the Indy grapevine, seriously considered for production by Peavey. However, that didn't come to pass. |

Quite cool looking. However, as a serious coffee drinker, I would not put my coffee on the top of the amp......especially after the 11th or 12th cup!!!!! |

Very Cool for the middle of a room with an outlet under it, while having a small jam session,
everyone could plug into one speaker and still hold a conversation,
Bad part: My wife would have nik naks all over it all the time ,
Great for the man cave ,
I would put a sound colored strobe effects light on it to keep it groovy. _________________ SO MANY LURES, SO LITTLE TIME.... |

Bill, is that your amp, is it tubed or SS?
With this design it could handle another speaker on the down side, and could make for a real sound machine. Too bad it didn't go big, pretty neat, and I remember seeing them somewhere, maybe advertised. |
