My eldest daughter, Katherine, who is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and currently works for Tiffany's, the jewellers, in Pasadena, took this photo. She's always had a good eye for an unusual view. We were in the garden taking photos for an album cover when she noticed that I'd laid this Tricone in the grass and the sun created this effect in the reflection.
It probably looks more artistic than the shot I'd set up, which has a bit too much of the tubby bald guy.

She also took this picture a few minutes later. It's for an Early Music album I'm working on. My alter ego is mediaeval music, played on period instruments that I build myself.

Thanks folks. Here's a ribbed renaissance guitar that I built about 15 years ago. The sides and back are made from alternate strips of dark and light hardwoods. Until the 1700s guitars had four or five double-courses. Then they started adding a sixth course, creating what we now know as the 12-string guitar. The 6-string guitar followed during the late 1700s. Most people don't realise that the 12-string guitar is older than the 6-string. The guitar here has four double courses, like a mandoline, tuned in unison (i.e. not octaves.)
