So sorry to hear about Jody's passing. I always enjoyed being with him especially at the Southeast Texas Club meetings. He would introduce me as the "Orange Flash". May you rest in God's peace Jody. |

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to a truly wonderful Texas Gentleman that has been my friend for many years. Jody was the most kind, loyal, happy, positive, caring, and most of all, the most humble man I have had the pleasure of working with. He brought joy and happiness to all that got to hang around with him.
We will forever miss him at the South East Texas Steel Club.
Love you forever, brother, go with God and rest in peace until we meet again. Billy and Patty and all of us at the club. |

Jody Sanders is definitely what I would call a Troubadour. Unless it is me,I don't know of anyone who loved steel guitar and the people involved with it more than Jody.
Was in Austin this week, but did not find out until the after his funeral that he had passed away. I called Roy Rosetta to visit on the phone and he informed of Jody leaving us..
So glad one of his biggest dreams was fulfilled when he was elected into the TSGA Hall of Fame. No one I know worked any harder than he.

Jody Burhl Sanders' Favorite song played by Jody Cameron on Steel, Larry Schoppe on Bass, & James Harvey on Guitar at Jody Sanders' Funeral 4-18-12. The quality isn't that good, I just got the camera and still trying to figure it out. There were military honors for his service to the country he Loved. Jody was also a Highway Patrol Officer for the State of Texas & he retired from Dow Chemical, he played steel guitar and raised a very nice family. The attendance in, the funeral home, can testify to the kind of man & the kind of friend he was.

I just got my internet back, the other day. I received a friend request from Jody. Then I got on the forum, and learned of Jody's passing. I am so sad to have learned about it. Jody, may you find peace and comfort in the joy of the Lord.
Though we never met in person, I enjoyed chatting with you on the forum.

It was just short of my 61 B/D on the 25th.I joined this forum just in Jody mentioning having taken lessons from my dad Hawaiian style with Al Petty and Bobby Garrett.I joined so i could possible call him after joining so i could private e-mail him for his number and did so and talked to him for a while.I will pray for his family tonight. He is sure to be missed in our earthly forms but great for THE KINGDOM in knowing he is there. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY
