Hi Bob,
Hope all is well for you?
Attached is the tuning I now use on my SD-10
The interesting two things are the E to F# on the RKR where I have used it for 30 years.
The other is the third pedal change I developed over the past year.
First I just raised the high B 1+1/2 steps for the dominant 7th to get a neat lick for blues type sounds.
Now have added to that pedal the second string lower to D.
That using the 2+3 pedals together gives a strange but cool sounding D6+9 across the neck and works nice with the RKR 9th to 3rd.
Anyway knowing you like to try changes I thought you may like to see this?
Best wishes,
Andy

I see lots of interesting chords in there.
BTW The inlay work on your SD-10 is stunning. |

Thanks Rich,
Mark Giles should get the most credit even though we did do the inlays...
Lots of fun with this tuning and that third pedal is a gas.
Before I had that Franklin change but it was too much like other available sounds already on the steel E9th.
Best wishes,

BTW, at first I had the change on pedal 4 where it only gave me a few hot licks and a dominant 7th.
Then I saw that if I moved it to 3rd pedal it would work well with the 2nd pedal.
Moving that change to the 3rd pedal opened up a whole bunch of new ideas as both chords and licks.
That other change now on the 4th pedal is used with the RKL as a B6th tuning and was never used with another pedal. _________________ Inlaid Star Guitar 2006 by Mark Giles. SD-10 4+5 in E9th; http://luthiersupply.com/instrument-gallery.html
