I've been looking for a 15" speaker for a 1968 BF Twin - the one that keeps coming to the center of the plate is a 15" , 4 ohm , Weber California with the ceramic magnet - Without starting a big ol' debate Very Happy - - anyone use / tried one of these in a Twin ? Thanks Franko

No, but you might also want to get your hands on a JBL D-130, 8ohm. Either pull two power tubes (You'd be surprised at how much power you don't loose)or do what I like to do, beef-up the screen resisters and run two 6550's, best twin sound I've ever heard.

Frank, if your are interested in the new Eminence EPS-15C, email me for special Forum price. They sound very close to the D-130 except they are 300 watts and won't blow out. Only 7.8 lbs! 4 ohm.

Pedal steel garbles most Webers. At least that's been my experience. I had a 15" in a Twin and it sounded great for guitar....but for steel, too much breakup.

Kevin is spot-on with his Eminence suggestion. A nice, robust speaker that will give you lots of headroom and cleans - if that's what you're looking for. A Weber will give you more breakup, and that's not a bad thing if it's your aim.

Thanks for the response guys - I used my Twin to power up a buddy's cab that had two Weber's - 0ne 12F150 and a 12F150 T - IMO it sounded pretty fine with my steel , and my Gibson 339 .
The volume was'nt too high however - couldn't push it in his living room ! I'll give Kevin a shout about an Eminence . .
