I have been in touch with Jay Dee recently. He is working and doing fine. Jay Dee seems to be the first call steel player in LA for network TV work. He also worked the steel guitar show in Phoenix playing the new Infinity pedal steel guitar. The Country Music Hall of Fame just released a new edition of the Encyclopedia of Country Music and added more entries for pedal steel players. Of course - Jay Dee was one of them.

JayDee's doing great! A bunch of us will see him this weekend at Jim Palenscar's for what we hope will be the first of many seminars. Your greeting will be conveyed.

JD has been a great friend and tremendous musical influence on me over the years. All I can say about him is that he's simply, a gentleman and a musical monster!

I enjoyed a seminar with Jay Dee in 2002. Big Jim Baron had him come to Madera CA and it was great. David Wright made it down in the afternoon and they produced a fine musical. I wish I lived closer to his locale. I could enjoy the opportunities that Peter enjoys when he plays around the area.
