The DD-5 is in nice shape, everything works properly.
I'm just looking for a different flavor in a digital delay. I already have analog delays.
Thanks! _________________ '84 Marlen Custom D-10, 8X4

IMO the DD-5 is a great pedal for steel since it has a jack for an external tap tempo switch. If you want tap tempo, pull the trigger on this! I put my tap tempo switch right next to my volume pedal for easy access. Hard to find a delay pedal with external tap tempo these days... _________________ GFI S10-P Ultra -> Milkman 40w Pedal Steel Mini or 300w Half & Half (or Sarno SGBB/Nashville 112 or '94 Twin Amp or Homebuilt 5e3)

Yep, that's what I've been doing with it. I also love the stereo out option, as I run my steel through two amps. It's a real cool effect to "ping pong" the delays back and forth.
I'm just thinking it is a little too clean for my steel, where my DM-3 is a little too muddy. The DD-7 has an analog simulator on board, which (I believe) is somewhere in between the two.
I just sold my steel (with a George L pickup) and am buying a different one with BL 705's, so the DD-5 may be fine with those. I don't think they are as shrill as the George L.
If somebody wants to do this deal, great. If not, no problems.. The DD-5 is a great pedal. I hear it is getting a bit of a "collectable" status- but I buy my stuff to use, not to "collect" dust.. LOL _________________ '84 Marlen Custom D-10, 8X4

Richard, I have something you might want to give a try if you are looking for new sounds, I have a Digitech Digital Delay unit and will trade even for your DD-5, will include a picture, this unit works good.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm really looking for a DD-7. I might sell the DD-5 to finance a used DD-7, but I'm not looking for any other pedals right now.
I have lots of others, WAY too many... _________________ '84 Marlen Custom D-10, 8X4

I sure appreciate the help. Definitely worth a try. That's a great deal. Local pickup is pretty far from Chicago, though.. Thanks for trying! _________________ '84 Marlen Custom D-10, 8X4
