Amistar is to Europe what National is the the USA....made in the Czech Republic, over where (as Mark pointed out) the guys who invented dobros were from...

Wood body, classic lines, Duotone pickup system gives the best amplified resonator sound anywhere...piezo pickup molded into the cone for that resonator bark, and P-90 on the top for warm, electric wood sound, with blend control, amazing through a PA or acoustic amp....and pull up the volume knob and you get pure P-90, can plug right into a guitar amp and sound great..

This is a round neck guitar, aimed at fingerstyle and slide playing.

One of the few 14th fret join to body guitars that sound really good - Nationals are 12 fret now, and the cheaper 14 fret guitars sound weak....

Nice looking guitar! Too bad there's no room in the budget - I like Amistar guitars.

Steve - one thing - dobros were invented here in the USA, in Southern California.

Brad- this is a round neck guitar, aimed at fingerstyle and slide playing. And while we are here, I'd like to thank you for all that amazing stuff up on your page of steel!
