Hello,

My name is Todd I am working out of Seattle Wa and I love steel playing! I primarily play lap steel and dobro or anything with 6 strings. I have Two lap steels from one Ryan Rukavina who builds in my opinion the best lap steels around. One is an african mahogony duncan and the other is a zebrawood purple heart. He is also building me a semi hollow body modeled after the asher dual tone and I am certain that will change my life when I get it! I also play hodgkins dobros and am currently touring with a country group and playing my own material around town. As I learn how to use this forum I will post pics and audio as I respect everyone in this steel playing world!

Thanks for the reply gents! I am just gathering my photos and then I will have to learn how to upload them but they will come very soon. The group I am playing with is Crawford and James out of the Northwest I am taking the opportunity so I can scope some of the rooms they are playing like the Million dollar cowboy and grizzly rose etc I guess they are somewhat Iconic in the country arena. I typically am blues Soul and swing player so it will be new to me. I play in open E typically but I am going to have to figure something new to fake steel parts. I have done a open G tuning and dropped the B to an A and the bend behind but I am looking into the asher hipshot or something that has a little more precision. looking forward to all my gear questions being helped Laughing

Ok lets see if this works. Two photos to share The lapsteel is ryans semi hollow body in progress and the othe drum photo is my sort of workstation with ryans duncan lap. When I play my own shows I play lap with covering the drum section with kick hat tambo etc. Now once I learn to play I will be set! Here is a link to my website with audio etc. I am just getting started with all this so I am jazzed to talk with like minded folks! www.toddjosephband.com
