The changer is fixed so you cant add pedals or knee levers to it, i think it takes 3 and 4 max and it's less expensive. Its not a student model by any means tho, its a solid great sounding guitar. Eventually i will most likely upgrade to a blackjack custom if i want to add a knee lever but for now for me this standard s10 is the perfect gigging guitar. Lightweight, great sounding, fast action, and great looking guitar. I played all the $2K guitars in Dallas and this was my favorite. Just a super solid guitar made by great people. AND it was under $2K ! _________________ Emmons PP, Mullen G2 and Discovery |

Karen, I agree with you 100%. Jackson Steels are solid, well built, and look and sound awesome! With my Jackson Steel, there are all pros, no cons. The Jacksons always amaze me with the steels they build!

Mine comes with the single coil upgrade pickup. I think it's the same pickup as in the BJC. I liked the tone better than the standard humbucker.
guitar should be here tomorrow, just in time for band practice _________________ Emmons PP, Mullen G2 and Discovery |

Congrats Karen!! You've made a wise decision. I'm not a owner but the Jackson steels are one of a kind for sure. Wonderful tone and feel to them. I really like the aluminum strips that they put on the front of the newer Blackjacks. Adds a certain little "touch".

yes the tone of this guitar is what hooked me. It sounds great and sustains forever. Also the solid feel of the guitar, it doesn't really feel any different than the more expensive models, meaning it is very stable and does not feel like an entry guitar. I will be using the guitar as an upgrade for my stage one guitar, mainly for gigs and practices outside of my home studio. I haven't been playing pedal steel for very long but I am a lifetime musician who has good taste for quality and tone, and this is the guitar that fit the bill for me and my needs. Plus the Jacksons are great people. I am proud to be part of the Jackson owners club along with Zane K, Rusty R, and of course Robert R _________________ Emmons PP, Mullen G2 and Discovery |

Nice one Karen...
I have an S10 Blackjack also 3x4 Black laminate about 18 months old. Magnificent instrument in every way from the fine finish/engineering/sound & responsiveness. I also own a 6x2 Emmons Blackrock and
had a ZB twin also.
I've had other steelers here in Melbourne take a look and they too are very impressed.
Have fun...!
