I don't have a Blackbox either. I do have a Matchbox and a DD-3. My question is, would you use a Blackbox with a Matchbox?

Do some of the guy's use both a Matchbox and a Blackbox or not? If you do, how much better is the sound on your steel?

Just curious.

To me the difference is sutle. It's not a big huge improvement, but once you've used it a while, you won't want to do without it. In my opinion it would probably replace your matchbox especially if it's the BB with the control knob on it.

It is sort of like when you get a bad cold and then when you finally get better you realize that you didn't realize how sick you were when you had the cold....

Also sort of like taking a blanket off your tone. You can be fine without one, but you also could be playing a $300 wreck for a steel and sound "fine"....this is an easy way to bump the tone up a notch, in almost a subconscious, but very real, way...

How's that for analogies?
