Hi to you all,

This is a long shot but there are many lap steel players here and I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have been building lap slide instruments for a few years now and have just finished my fifth weissenborn copy. For my next project I would really like to have a go at building a Kona style guitar. If anyone out there has an original would it be possible to get an outline of the body shape? I have the Tom Noe book and some other researched information about the Kona and should be able to build my interpretation of the guitar.

Thanks for your attention.

Cheers

Alan

Alan, have you tried Bill Hardin of Bear Creek Guitars? he makes Kona's. And, a word to he wise: If you end up getting a tracing of a Kona, make sure to get both the top and he back - they are very different sizes. HTH
