Hi to you all,
This is a long shot but there are many lap steel players here and I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have been building lap slide instruments for a few years now and have just finished my fifth weissenborn copy. For my next project I would really like to have a go at building a Kona style guitar. If anyone out there has an original would it be possible to get an outline of the body shape? I have the Tom Noe book and some other researched information about the Kona and should be able to build my interpretation of the guitar.
Thanks for your attention.
Cheers
Alan |

Alan, have you tried Bill Hardin of Bear Creek Guitars? he makes Kona's. And, a word to he wise: If you end up getting a tracing of a Kona, make sure to get both the top and he back - they are very different sizes. HTH |
