Here's another example of my 12 string lapsteel on a jazzy arrangement. For years I had to work around all the cool chords (diminished, Aug5 etc) but now I love to tackle songs with these lovely intervals.

I played all the other instruments as well.

Dom,
That is fantastic and just my style. I really like the arrangement, the vocals and how smooth it is. I'll be looking forward to more.

Dom, nice job! I've always loved that tune. There's a cool version of it on a Julian Thorpe album called "The Jet Age". Thanks for posting this.

I used no slants in this song, but the cool thing is that you could still slant if you want to.

What is blowing my mind is that I can now sit down with my 12 string steel and figure out even the most complicated jazz song, using all of the "real" chords (with at least 3 notes) when before I would have to use a standard guitar or piano to find all the extended chords!

I am now seeking out all of those lovely, well written songs to work on.

That's a lot of strings and different notes. Makes my head hurt!

I accidentally stumbled up on a cool guitar lick @ the 2:34 mark of On A Clear Day. It reminded me of some other song, and I racked my brain trying to figure out where I had heard it...
I think I found it at the begining of this song!

Now I have got to tackle my own arrangement of this tune!
