My pick to win it all is Joshua Ledet. But, the voting public will probably prove me wrong. Here is a clip of Joshua.

I think he is the best by far, followed by that young Filipina-Mexican girl.

Jessica reminds me of Jennifer Hudson, who is my favorite singer ever from the show.

For some reason I can't seem to watch "Singing with the Wannabe's" or "Dancing with the Has Beens" for longer than 30 seconds since they first hit the airwaves. I've tried...Lord knows I've tried. Oh Well

My gripes of the show is the hollywood format..And the three Judges. Then it becomes a popularity contest and Talent gets lost...3 Judges,If they were true experts it would be better..The Hollywood format, They sell the show as "Americam Idol" then have the group thing that takes the individual aback, having to blend in to the level with those that have no chance...Thus some good vocals never get to be heard in their own element..Some who were real good did not survive..as in years past..But through it all some real good artist have emerged to be successful..The other thing I can't see making a Country singer have to do Stevie wonder..I guess they are not looking for the next Merle Haggard.. Hey Joe,
I personally like hearing them all sing different genres of music. I agree, alot of talent has come out of the show & I personally miss Simon! Smile

Joe, first and foremost, it's all about the show making barrels of money. Everything else is secondary. Nothing wrong with that, it's been the business plan for America from the get-go, but, a few shining examples aside, it has little to do with discovering talent.

Pete,
I think it's cool how the show has always had steel guitar backing the artist.

That Jessica just rang my bell with her "Prayer." That's not fake. My TV's been in the closet for years, you'll have to keep me posted. I gave up on "Idol" way before that, it was the "Queen" week that did it. On contestant got to sing "Bohemian Rhapsody" (hard) one got to sing "We Will Rock You" (meh) one "got" to sing "We Are the Champions" (yak) and the others had to make do with "Fat-Bottom Girls Make the Rocking World Go Round" and so forth. And then the judges ALL bitched them out for not trying, this is the big time, you'll never win singing that apathetically, lazy losers etc. Queen... Half of Ryan Seacrest's job is to make hemorrhoid faces to let you know that somebody sympathizes with you for "having" to watch all the crap.... did I mention, my TV's been in the clos....

The most entertaining part of the series is at the beginning when they show a lot of the poor no talent folks who show up to try out. The rest of it seems to be who can out scream the others, and pile on the commercials.

Theresa - we usually think a lot alike, so I'm not sure why you're not connecting with Joshua. Wink I was blown away at his rendition of When a Man Loves a Woman!!!!! I also like Phillip's unique voice and stage presence.
