Hey y'all.
Here in Eastern North Carolina I've noticed the mild winter has caused our pine trees to throw off that pesky yellow pollen earlier than usual.

It covers any surface exposed to the outdoors, like playing outside gigs and having to clean it off your instruments, mixers, drums, clothes, dogs, and all sorts of stuff.

A good rain will knock it back for a day or two from the trees but it is a nuisance for about 2 or 3 weeks and just another reason I love the South.

Walter

I hear ya, Walter. Couldn't figure last week why my sinuses were going crazy till I walked out and saw my car coated in the yellow dust.

Missouri is covered too, mostly oak.
I was working in Georgia in the springtime a couple of years ago and the pollen made me so sick I had to go to the doctor.
A report on the pollen index here said it was usually in the single digits this time of year....it is 250 now!! S'cuse me, I gotta find the Kleenex.
