I'm wondering if anyone here has one of these guitars and what your thoughts are on it. The $1,100 price seems pretty amazing given that they appear to be custom built. I'm interested in any input on the guitar and whether this is the only model that the builder makes. Thanks, Howard

I have one I have had it about a year,
One of the quietest mechanisms I never heard:)..
If Bob would have done a cpl things to these guitars they would be pro models all the way for the money there is nothing close. I know stage ones cannot have the copedant changed or modified, they are also single necks, the simmons is an SD-10 the padded rear neck is nice on us old guys with bad wrist or arthritis. The tone on mine is amazing I had a very sought after brand I will not name here, the simmons has a better tone far as I'm concerned,I'm looking for anoter steel because I'm an advanced player but this little AXE is AMAZING for the dough sounds great stays in tune, plays like silk...

I had a Simmons and I hope soon to be able to have another one..I too played and tried many other brands and I can honestly say Mr.Simmons has one of the best - if not the best- steel deals on the market..They are light weight, stay in tune, and sound incredible.I speak to Bob every few weeks or so and I can tell you that you wont find a nicer guy .

I went up to see Bob in his shop, I live in Bham, and it was a treat. Great guy and he builds a really fine guitar for the money - he builds a good guitar for the money if it cost 50% more than it does. Not flashy, but solid and musical.

I bought one back in November. Thrilled with it!

As stated earlier, you will never find a nicer and more helpful person than Bob.

I sold my simmons on the forum and was going to make a video or 2 but did not. But the tone of a Simmons is nice mine had a PF2 pick up in it. for an inexpensive guitar you will not find a better one. the Padded rear neck sold me how many cheaper guitars have that? NONE!.
