I have recently bought one of these.. this is a KILLER amp for lead guitar... I think some guys may record steel with these too.. but this amp sounds GREAT!!!

I too recently bought one of these, pulled the chassis and reverb, put those in a small cabinet, run it through a JBL D-130 and wow what a tone.
This is a very good price on this amp. Just my opinion,

I have one of these amps, use it for steel (have to mike it though). I like the fact that you can drive it into light distortion quite easily. I missed the Mid control that I used to have on the Super Reverb, but after a bit of experimentation, found settings that worked for me.
